#HackYourMorning No. 8: Make Your Bed

Many of the themes in our posts have something to do with the fact that the little things in life really are the big things. And today's #HackYourMorning tip is no different. When you wake up in the morning, before you leave the bedroom, take less than 60 seconds and make your bed. 

Making your bed does several things. It checks something off of your to-do list very early in the day, which immediately gives you some momentum. It gives you a sense of pride. And that completed activity will turn into another and then another. By the end of the day that one completed task will turn into many completed tasks. It also reinforces the fact that the little things in life matter.

I know, for me at least, when I have made my bed before going on to doing the other 'important' things on my list, the other activities seem just a little easier to tackle and complete. And as an added benefit, when you come back into the bedroom at the end of the day, you have a nicely made bed to climb into. And that is another one of life's simple pleasures.
