Greetings from Louisville, KY the home of the Kentucky Derby, a booming foodie city, a creative community, and more bourbon than we know what to do with.
All of those things sound amazing, right? They are. It’s 100% legit and to solidify the attraction, we have some of the nicest people on earth. Louisville was founded in 1778; which means we’re only 238 years old. To think about our growth in that timeframe is either impressive or unimpressive but it’s dependent upon your point of view.
Personally, I look at it as an impressive amount of time because when you step backward and view Louisville as it was, how fast we've grown, and how we’re still growing. It's amazing. This is also where the nice people of Louisville come into play again. We’re growing because of our open-arms mentality to people of all walks of life.
Visitors may believe it’s our southern charm or our festive spirit as Travel+Leisure categorized us. Either way, Louisville is a city that grows with its citizens because we all want it to. We all do our part to give back to the causes that pull at our heartstrings. We’re ready to help anyone find their lost pet, lend a hand to a stranger, and we love to support our locally owned and operated restaurants & boutiques. We do whatever it takes to support those that are trying to their best.
Blend all of that into one single feeling and that's the reason that everyone loves our humble abode.
Ask anyone you know why they love Louisville and I bet that a great majority of them will tell you that Louisville feels like home because it is. We welcome everyone with our arms wide open which makes our lovely city the King City will stay with you no matter where you go.
